Future Proofing
technological change is accelerating - we need a simple to understand yet scaleable vehicle to keep up.

We do this in the following way:

Webstore for Education is intuitive and easy to use at an entry level. In addition it has been designed to meet future collaborative needs as peoples' skills and understanding with this new connectivity increase.

Webstore combines the sharing of web pages AND other files in a new and powerful way. Schools can now combine their creation of web pages with file storage and sharing online for access for all at school or at home.

Webstore consists of two parts:

The private folders area means:

All pupils and teachers for a school have their own private folder. These are created when they become users and allow them to save files directly from any computer or device in the future, wherever they are.

In the public collaborative area:

A traditional style website can be uploaded as the organisation's home page(s). However, far more can be achieved using Webstore's unique combination of folders, web page and file sharing, and folder access for different users.

The administrator for an organisation can supervise the creation of a folder structure.

Webstore users for that organisation have password access to upload web pages or other types of files into these folders according to the folder access rights given to them by the administrator.

Material may either be published for all to see after proof reading or kept private for access by groups of users for that organisation.

Webstore users can be combinations of readers, writers, caretakers or publishers for any folder.

The creation of users, groups and access to folders can be easily set up and maintained with a minimum of effort by the administrator using a simple spreadsheet.

Quality assurance is provided automatically by an innovative time-to-live on all web pages and files that auto-archives out of date content. However, Webstore e-mails each user a fortnight before the expiry date so that the web page or file can be reset.

Webstore's browse view means that there are no links between page groups needed to be kept up-to-date, although links to web pages and folders are possible if required.

Other previously time consuming tasks such as uploading, publishing, and resetting time-to-lives of multiple files is now possible with a single click of your mouse.

Web pages can be created using the 'add page wizard', or you can load onto Webstore any html output - even web pages from Word 2000 involving sub folders.

Webstore's Calendar application is another powerful tool to use. Click here to find out more.
