This section explains how the browse view gives extra features when you are logged on.
It should be read in addition to First Time Users and Users Overview

Webstore consists of
folders
containing
page groups that are
web pages
or
other types of file
.
There are two types of special
page group,
home page groups and
index page groups, both shown
as
.
As a logged on User you are able to see some folders that are not accessible before. You will be able to do different things to folders and page groups depending on whether you are a reader, writer, caretaker or publisher. Administrators can do everything.
To see the range of extra functions that are available see Overview of Folder options and Overview for Page Group Options.
As well as the published content, shown by the green circles, there are two other 'states' of page group which you may be able to see when you are logged on:
or
show page groups
which are 'hidden'. This is
the state when a page group is uploaded. It can only be seen
by users with access to that folder. Only when it is
'published' by a publisher
or an administrator can the page group be seen by any anonymous browser.
or
show page groups
which are 'marked'. This
can be done by caretakers of a folder when they wish to show
a publisher or administrator that they have proof-read a page group, and it is
now marked as
'suitable for
publication'. A publisher or administrator can
either browse for marked page groups, or search for them all, and with a single
click they can then publish them, changing the circle to green. This means any
anonymous browser can then view the page group.
