Add Page Group/Web Page with up to three Subfolders

(relevant to Writers, Caretakers, Administrators)

This section shows you how to upload a Web Page with up to three subfolders. The procedure is exactly the same for both novice and advanced users. The novice pages just have instructions included, so pictures from the advanced pages are used below to save space, with the instructions from the novice page in red.

Make sure you have read Add Page Group/Web Page without Subfolder, as this provides more detail, and Add Page Group Overview.

There are two stages:

  1. Transferring the web page files to Webstore.
  2. Completing the Page Group Details Page.

This procedure is very similar to Add Page Group/Web Page without Subfolder except there are four Web Publishing Wizard icons. The first is for the web page; the others are for the image files in the subfolders. Again there is no need to type any filenames as Webstore will do it automatically.

1. Transferring the htm file:

Click or double click on the first 'Web Publishing Wizard' icon.

Add Web Page with a Subfolder

Click or double click on the 'Web Publishing Wizard' icon.

You should see a window open like the one below.

File selector

Go to the folder that contains your web page(s).

You may need to click on the arrow pointing down to show all the directories on your computer, as in the next diagram:

List of directories

Highlight the web page.

Selected web page

Click 'Open'

2. Transferring the image files from the web page's subfolders:

Click or double click on the second 'Web Publishing Wizard' icon.

Go to the first subfolder that contains your other files, e.g. images.

Click on 'Files of Type' and choose 'All Files'.

It should have files similar to the one below:-

List of files in subfolder

Highlight all required files, eg images. (Hold down 'Ctrl' and click to select more than one file).

Alternatively, starting in the empty part of the window you can drag across the filenames with the mouse to highlight them all. This is recommended when there are lots of files.

Click 'Open'

Click OK

If your web page has additional subfolders, up to a total of three, repeat the above steps with the third and fourth 'Web Publishing Wizard' icons for the extra subfolders.

The completed page should look something like this:

Completed upload page

Notice that you have not had to type in any filenames.

Click on OK to go to the Page Group Details Page.

See Add Page Group/Web Page without Subfolder for how to fill this in.

If you get a message saying that there is already a page group with that name you can choose to replace it or rename the current page group. See Add Page Group/Do you want to replace Page Group? for more details.
