A web page group that has been published can be assigned as an index page
for the folder it is in. This always comes first in the folder and is shown as
a
, and usually contains
information about the other page groups in the folder. In a way, the home
page(s) are the index page for the organisation.
The caretaker (or administrator) can click on a published web page group and click 'Assign as folder index'.

The page group is then promoted to the top of the folder as in the example below:

It remains at the top of the folder, even if other page groups are added which are normally arranged alphabetically. It is still a published web page group, and can be clicked on and viewed in the normal way.
As you can see, it can also be 'unpublished' and deleted like any other web page group.
To change an index page, either delete it directly in the Index page group options menu or click on 'Unassign Index', and the page returns to be a published web page group within the folder.
